ha ha ha ha ha ha clearly the beginning voice over is the voice of Mia Mottley, as there is hardly anyone else in Barbados that can sound so manly :D not even girly girly Art tappin, But i think this parody is as much about Mia Mottley as it is about Thompson. I get the impression that Mia is asking Thompson if he “got wood” and the twin peaks that Thompson so shown traversing are those of Mia in a play of what she intends for Thompson to do to her. Thompson follow your own advise and do not meet with Mia behind the Speaker’s chair ever again. :D

beyond its comedic value is there anything else about this video clip you have notice? Is the comedic value only at the expense of Thompson? Or can you implicate if not include Mia Mottley?

1: by noting that the first voice over use to poke fun at David Thompson is the Mia’s voice?

2: The first Question at the very beginning “GOT WOOD? Seems to be question that Mia Mottley is asking of Thompy?

3: That the twin peak mountains or hills that Thompy is seen traversing are in fact Mia Mottley breast, and the green peaks are indicative of her, overflowing, with lust and want of a Man,.. signifying the innate need that she has continually denied herself.

4: Freud has a lot to say on something vey similar that I think explains Mia confusion with this video, could this be her subconscious awakening from years of denial and repression of her innate needs and wants, now manifested in her obsessive concentration on thompy’s wood, stick and limbs. So to her she thinks she is making fun of Thompy, but to me she is unwillingly letting out her repress feelings.

….Thompy should not meet with Mia Mottely behind the Speaker’s chair again.

I joined Facebook at the invitation of a friend of mind, who introduce me to his forums which dealt with back in school times.

This friend is a genuine down to earth guy, that has demonstrated that he can hang with and get along with just about any body.

The forums for the most part where frequented by alumnus of the older schools ( Richmond alumnus) and therefore the experiences they often talked about where for the most part foreign to me, yet i still attempt to put in my two cents worth.

Most of the members ignored me which is to be expected, for they don’t know of me, but this Kim Young person immediately made me her friend (a face book concept),…and then invited me to Join the BLP facebook forum.

I declined and subsequently remove her from my friends list. I have never been a member of a political party, and since i didn’t know this person, her or her intent was not of interest to me.

What i want to know is, who came up with the format for Sunday’s Brass tacks programme?

Were all the usual moderators not available?

How were Kim Young and Hal Gollop introduce at the beginning of the programme?

Did they state their association with the Barbados Labour party?

I must admit that i tuned into the programme after the start, and that while the positions that all three, “in studio” persons, took where partisan, we only knew of the upfront political association of One.

That Philip Greaves is known to all of Barbados as DLP member and for Deputy prime minister in a DLP government.

Was the listening public informed at the start of the show that Kim Young Belgrave and Hal Gollop are card carrying members of the Barbados Labour party? if not why not?

It was instructive to me that Stephen Lashley’s intervention to the programme among others things also accused Hal Gollop of toting the BLP position and of being the representative of the BLP to the show, an accusation that Hal Gollop attempted to deny. It was all put to rest as to his political party affiliation, when David Thompson in his intervention to the programme left no doubt that HAL GOLLOP IS INDEED A CARD CARRYING MEMBER OF THE BLP, an opinion that Hal Gollop agreed to by stating “yes as a close friend of mine you would know that”

So I got the impression that this affiliation was NOT made clear at the beginning of the programme where Mr. Hal Gollop is concern.

WAS THERE ANY DECLARATION FROM KIM YOUNG BELGRAVE ABOUT HER BLP AFFILIATION?

Sundays programme could be yet another failed attempt to hoodwink the public of Barbados.

I had always wondered about the line that Hal Gollop took with his blistering attack on some of the witnesses in the “Glendairy Burning” Commission of enquiry. Now that it is clearly understood that he is a card carrying member of the BLP. What are the possibilities that his involvment in this enquiry has a behind the scenes primary role to find the prison officer that a manipulation of the facts and events of the infamous day when the prison was burned, can lead to casting blame towards, and away from Mia Mottley????

Mia Mottley is such a joke. I would bet that no one picked up a flip flop “her mouthiness” executed two Sunday ago on Brass tacks with Brandfor Taitt.

Before i do that i what to know the following

What is cost of hosting elections in Barbados?
.and how does this cost match up against a minister’s pay calculated at their recent raise of pay?

Madmam Mouthiness had said that the republic referendum was to be held at the sametime as the next general election becuase of cost concerns if hosted seperately.

In the same radio programme Her Mouthiness relates her opinion on parliamentary reform to allow for national parliamentarians and Local ones (now an idea with some merit) but what about the cost of such a change Mia?

and equally as important how does this cost match up against the cost of seperate republic referendum?????

It is clear that no real thought went into her announcement then for one it is now off and two the cost Mia. Yes i know it sounded politically expediant at the time, so you went with it on the fly. Political Kite flying is your culture Mia.

ha ha ha ha ha am SSC could you ask your BLP collegues to stop censuring me and allow me to post using my correctly spelt name? :D

….What are your thoughts on Mottley’s cost concerns for the referendum and seemly lack of such concerns in her opinion for more parliamentarians?

SCC, you should take a break. Thompson delivered a blistering, sustained assault on your mentor and left him crying like a baby.

    I warned you all. Hardears can’t hear…

Mia and her proclivity to meet with David Thompson behind the Speakers chair, has led me to dedicate the following refrains of a popoular 2007 calypso to her. :D

make muh sweat, make muh sweat,
yuh get muh wet, get muh wet,

    Yuh want tuh sweat? alright

Wait SSC gimmie the low down on who dese people that Liz talking bout.

Uh know one is John Boyce (deep voice) who is the one that make claim to have a PhD that may be false?

“”In fact, the Honourable Member for St John really has sympathy for people who bounce cheques because on his team are several people with that particular characteristic.

“One even writes cheques for $27 for chicken that bounce . . . . There is another one who must now walk with cash, cannot walk with cheques at business places at all, one with a deep sweet voice and he’s a small businessman too.

“The Honourable Member also has another one with certain links with pornography, another one who has very unfortunate relationships with banks. All of this . . . if we going to talk about corruption, let us talk about the corruption on his side.

“Let us talk about the one who parades as a doctor who has never had a PhD from the institution that he said he got it from. Let us talk about that – that is vile. Those things are wicked,” Thompson said. ”

    Spill de beans man. :D

I am a card carrying member of the BLP?

    Really?

Interesting. While you spread your gossip, cos this is hardly a news blog but a gossip column aka blog , explain how moderator Maxine McClean gets to be Leader of the Denate and LicKMout Lou’s suggests (ergo I am not sure it is a fact) that Trevor Marshall is going to be the High Commissioner to London. If moderating is a fast track to Cabinet, My good friend David Thompson could have given me a contract somewhere. I work for myself and enjoy it.

I do not have to fall prey to the polarization that George Pilgrim, another personal friend suggests is rampant in Barbados.

I would strongly suggest that the programme, which David Ellis himself listened to and could have moderated himself was designed for all and sundry to have their say and every caller was a DLP and did have their say ias is the way democracy and communications works.

I have always stuck to my ethics unlike other moderators we know. In fact, I am not a moderator at all, that is not my life’s aspiration. So, with that said, I have no problems with my journalistic ethic and my conscience. Do you?

Democracy is alive and well in some parts of Barbados but of late not in the press, nor on certain call in shows.

Congratulations to the DLP. The people asked for change, they got it and now we wait and see, hold them accountable like any other government and move on. Beware what you write about me, I am very close (a I am sure you know) to the law.

I have witnessed her borring money from her teenaged daughter really ” classy egh?
She was supported by Ezarene Alleyne who is now “fired ” by David Thompson because he was one of the useless jokes on Owens payroll who did nothing for $$$ something and if she is such good friends as she would like us to believe with the Great David Thompson why was her meal ticket, gravy train. and owens lapboy fired hmmm leaving her to starve??

She doesn’t work and her only friends are from the net she should get off her fat lazy butt and get a life and job wise not to be this mentally disturbed demented dillusional psychos friend period..
Yes she tried to lure you to the dark side the BLP but she is now out in the cold and I saw the once almighty lawyer Ezerene Alleyne scraping for change to buy his skinny arse some food maybe she could give him some of her ‘ access

Always threatening people Kim with the law.
facts are her lawyer friend was laid off by the DLP facts in the papers.
She likes to toss her weight around and then threaten to take legal action.
Sweetie Even Owen when all the Hardwoood issues , gems of Barbados and etc came out he wanted to try to close down the World Press and don’t you think when he was PM he could have got this done with lawyers like MIA
This is not Iran dearie Missy this is not a country ruled by a dictator now but a great born leader the Hon David Thompson….who has restored respect and pride to Bajans and a quality of life. So don’t let her intimidate you!!!!
    Kim ( Missy}
what if we sued you would we get kim the luxury of paying your rent?

The DLP are in power not your BLP party so you can threaten but the threats are IDLE. Last, I heard the reign of terrorizing people is over.
Even OWEN ARTHUR tried to close the freedom of speech from the Barbados at WORLD PRESS.com unsussecfully it’s called NEW GOVT and freedom of speech.
This website helped to unravel many of the squandromania of the previous BLP the
    scandals.

THE DLP IS THE BEST and long live ERROL BARROW and THE DLP.

We should call the Kensington Oval the ERROL BARRPOW kensignton Oval I feel the airport should have been named after him not that Grantly Adams was not a great leader but Barrow.
He did the most for bajans I stand firm
